Keelby Utd 0 v 8 United Reserves
By Damian Froggatt

United's Reserves stretched their unbeaten run to seven games with a comfortable victory away at Keelby United, although the afternoon started badly as Chris Bonner, on his return from injury, was replaced after just three minutes as he suffered a recurrence of his ankle problem.

United opened the scoring after 10 minutes through Kallum Smith who broke clear of the Keelby back line to fire home, quickly followed by Gaz Symmonds who scored in similar style. On a very sticky pitch, United's passing
through midfield was excellent, and they created several more good chances before Scott Lowman struck twice just before half time.

For the second period Lincoln welcomed back Ryan Creane at the heart of the back four and it wasn't long before they increased their lead as Lowman was on hand again for his hat-trick. To their credit, Keelby never gave up the
fight and almost caught United off guard but for a close offside decision. Lowman then made it six, with his fourth of the game, to take his league total to double figures for the season.

Late on, United wrapped up the victory with two fine strikes from Glen Atkinson and Sam Malachy, a result which sends them back up to second spot in the division.

Goals: Lowman 4, Malachy, Smith, Atkinson, Symmonds.
