Tony Simmons
Tony has decided to call it a day at this level of football. He has been playing and coaching in senior non-league football since 1991 when he joined Lincoln United, then under the managership of Allen Crombie and playing in the Central Midlands League. He was signed from Holbeach United having fallen out with football two years earlier upon his release from Colin Murphy’s Lincoln City.

Review of the season
It has been the most difficult season I have had as a Manager, Assistant or Coach. Frustrating because I know the players have more quality than they have shown. Disappointing because I know we should have finished higher even if we didn’t perform as we should have done. Yet throughout the season we have never got dragged into the relegation mire and up to March still harbored hopes of an unlikely play-off place.

Injuries
Stuart Reddington, our new signing has now seen his season come to an end. After being stretchered off at Whitby last week he was shipped to Scarborough hospital where they found there was now broken ankle which was suspected but ligament damage which is still quite serious. Stuart hopes to back for the start of pre-season training early in July.
