Pre-season Plans Hit By FIFA
Lincoln United, like all other football clubs, will have to abide by FIFA's new ruling that limits the number of substitutes that can be used in friendly matches to just six. A number of managers, including Peterborough's Barry Fry and Coventry's Peter Reid have slammed the new ruling, which came into force on July 1st, because it will limit clubs' plans for experimentation during their pre-season friendlies.

Hall Gone For Burton
Lincoln United's winger Chris Hall has opted to join Conference club Burton Albion, who are managed by former England International Nigel Clough, the son of Brian Clough. Coincidentally, Nigel Clough's assistant-manager is Gary Crosby, the former Lincoln United winger who left Ashby Avenue to forge a career in the Football League, which included winning several trophies whilst at Nottingham Forest.
